Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This was so delicious, well worth every penny! We had the new summer menu and it surpassed all expectations! We travelled in torrential rain on the public bus for this and we will do it again! Do remember it's cash only, but if you're like us and you forget there is a free cash machine nearby and the staff have ready an umbrella in case you need to make a trip to it! The quality of the ingredients, the cooking and the coffee was exquisite, and the staff were amazing! Can't wait to get back already! Fantastic!"
"Beautiful! Such lovely staff who saved a table for us. The pancakes were delicious, they even split a pancake for my children without being asked… both served with perfect amount of chocolate and strawberries and Dutch flag. The spicy eggs were delicious, especially the spicy peanuts on top. Very good Americano. Will definitely be back."
"Dutchie is a warm, friendly and inviting little place situated in the village of Greyabbey on the Ards peninsula. It offers a genuinely unique menu with a range of Dutch specialities. On this occasion we visited for Sunday morning breakfast. My wife ordered the special which was Spiced Pumpkin brioche french toast with bacon, pecans and maple syrup. I ordered the "Kaneel" Dutch pancake with apple, powdered sugar and cinnamon with Dutch stroop. Our drinks were the Cafe bonbon with condensed milk and a latte with speculoos. As ever the food and drinks were simply delicious. I would highly recommend making time to visit Dutchie if you are in the area."
"Dutchie never disappoints! Food is always excellent, service 20/10. Coming there is like visiting a family member rather than a restaurant, so friendly. Nanda is always so welcoming and always go beyond herself to accommodate us. I would like to recommend something from the menu but I can’t as everything is top notch and the portion sizes are good too. And the kids love their mini pancakes."
"Think we found our new breakfast spot Food is absolutely beautiful and coffee is just fantastic, we got recommended this place from a friend and it doesn't disappoint. I dont think ive seen fresher eggs in my life and the Dutch pancakes are a must. The cafe is adorable will all things dutch and very cute cosy and welcoming vibes. Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Bring cash as they are cash only we had to nip out and back as I forgot my wallet but was well worth the effort."
"We go specially (we live about 40 miles away)on occasion to eat here. We have tried a variety of pancakes and they have all been tasty and very filling. The service is friendly and you are made to feel very welcome and that your custom is appreciated and it's reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it."
"First time in this morning. Had the ‘Squeeky’ ….. sourdough, poached eggs, bacon, avocado and Sriracha sauce. Omg! Totally delicious. Awesome food. I’ll definitely be back!"
"We love Dutchie! Vibe inside is nice, its a small place but it gives a cosy vibe and the decoration is really good and welcoming. Its nice to have some different cuisine, especially in Greyabbey! Food is always good and the tumeric chai latte is great and a nice twist to a regular chai, They have lots of selection on the menu, from The Dutchie which is a breakfast type burger, to avocado and eggs and even dutch pancakes. really do enjoy this place average prices (Our mini pancakes are in a takeaway box for us to take with us)"
